Element offers the same convenience the film industry has come to expect with the larger OConnor heads in a new combination dovetail for the 1030 series of heads. The Arri / OConnor 1030 dovetail replaces the large and mini Euro QR plates with a dovetail top plate with the Arri standard machined into the same piece. It offers more flexibility in terms of balance adjustment as well as greater mounting security.
Our 1030 series of dovetails are compatible with standard quick release plates for other heads such as Miller, Sachtler, Cartoni or even other non-1030 OConnors but may require our extra long tie down hardware.
Element's Arri / OConnor style dovetail is compatible our 15MM and 19MM RED bridge plates (available through RED.com), our Hybrid system, and all other Arriflex standard bridge plates.
